MISSION

 

The Crawford Grill Redevelopment Project's mission is to provide a world-class jazz venue that raises awareness of Pittsburgh's jazz history and its contributions to national and international developments in the arts, while providing a variety of educational and career opportunities to residents of Pittsburgh's Hill District.

 

The Crawford Grill Development LLC (CGR) envisions a vibrant jazz venue in Pittsburgh’s Hill District providing an anchor for a cultural and educational mecca that can act as a catalyst for the economic redevelopment of the entire neighborhood while preserving and promoting jazz in Pittsburgh. The CGD wants to bring great music and great food together in a manner honoring the Hill District’s rich jazz history while providing an affordable gathering place that invites the participation of local residents.  In addition, the CGR hopes to encourage long-term commitment for employees through service awards and active involvement in the goals and objectives of the venue.
